Over at Bluebird Banter it was mentioned that in the next decade the Rogers Centre is going to need 25o million dollars worth of upgrades and retrofits to modernize the place. WONDERFULL!!, anything to attempt to renovate/sprucing up the joint is always an added bonus and losing the cement convertable feel would be a plus.

The first part of the reno includes taking out Windows restaraunt and opening up the 200 level to go all the way around the stadium from some have been led to believe, it’s a great idea, an added bonus would be to make it into a Blue Jays history area, kinda like the Yankees have with Monument Park at Yankee Stadium. They could put Bar Tables in the area so fans could enjoy food/ beverages while not missing any of the action.

No other plans have been released on what the reno/retrofit will include so I’ll give my ideas as to what should be done to the place. Find away to get natural grass in the place, Baseball was meant to be played on grass not turf. replace the blue fencing and with green fencing, it would look so much better, and change the blue seats to green seats as well. Finding a way to have the roof open for the early home games in April when the weather is nice would be wonderfull as well.

Things That Make You Wonder
The Cleveland Indians offseason is making one go at times of WTF. In December they signed pitcher Scott Kazmir who didn`t pitch in 2012 and hasn`t had a good year since 2008. Over the weekend they signed both Jason Giambi and Dice K to minor league deals and then Monday they sign Micheal Bourn to a 4 yr 48 million dollar deal, on one hand they try to make it look like they want to win and then on other hand it makes me wonder if they are trying for the all washed up team. At least Indians fans can`t say the their cheapskate owner the Dolan family didn`t open up the checkbook this winter, hey kinda like Jays fans and Rogers.
